Thought I'd share. These guys are at the forefront of exploring the direction of videogame design if trends went more in the direction of advanced procedural generation. In this interview, they discuss the influences and philosophies that gave them direction for Dwarf Fortress, as well as the future of Dwarf Fortress and some description of how they currently view the final product.
