So Alice in Borderland seems to be ending soon. Our heroes are now on the final stage against Mira, the Queen of Hearts. In Alice in Borderland, a game where some unknown entity forces random humans to play games to the death, the heart category is the 'mind game' where you can channel your inner Naruto or Aizen. And, just like not every manga is cut out to have its Aizen, Alice in Borderland seems to fail very hard at the 'mind game' guy but insists on keep on trying. So the game they play is cricket (with no landmines or anything, for a change) with the following rules:

If player finishes the game, Mira dies.
If player gives up for any reason, the whole team dies.

Note that the outcome of the cricket match itself has nothing to do with who wins the game. So after the game starts, Mira says some random Matrix stuff e.g. 'what if you're trapped in a dream that you can't wake up from and death is the only way out', and of course Alice immediately went, "Sounds like a good idea let me kill myself!" before being stopped by his teammates since that'd get the rest of the team killed. Now keep in mind in Alice in Borderland, so far it's established that the boss can't lie about the rules (otherwise there would be no way to win), and it's also a world where it is very easy to die. You probably can't get 10 feet without seeing someone vaporized by an alien death ray in a gruesome death. Now even if you were to think all this is fake, the best way to go would be for a 'you first' approach by winning the game and killing Mira and see if she comes back to life later because she says she's been playing this game since the beginning of time or whatever, so if this was all fake you'd think she'll just come back after being shot by an alien death ray. Failing that, it's not like it's very hard to die in this world so you'll probably just get shot by a death ray a few days later anyway. I don't think Kanzaki Nao from Liar Game would've fallen for this kind of stuff, and she can fall for literally anything.
