Honestly, it's probably more in terms of TV shows, but there's always a few movies each year that targets the black audience, just to perpetuate black stereotypes.

<div style='font: 11pt "EngraversGothic BT", "Copperplate Gothic Light"; text-align: left; '>Need I mention Spike Lee, who puts out movies like "Love and Basketball". The title alone turns me off. Let's talk about two black basketball players who fall in love. Seriously, we need to get the black audience away from the idea that basketball being the only career a black person's got. Now, if it was about a black business man/woman, or a couple of black scientists, maybe it would be a better movie. But it's not. I hate Spike Lee, because he does this with every one of his movies. He's an exploiter of "his own people".</div>

<div style='font: 11pt Dominion; text-align: left; '>so I get called racist because I point out that there is in fact a distinction between races? The fact that they're black has little to do with what I said; you could substitute black for any other race and it would still be the same thing; that the movie focuses on that race's teen culture rather than what the movie is supposed to be about which in this case is a drumline.</div>

<div style='font: 11pt Dominion; text-align: left; '>what they make the drumline out to be is the main big thing in marching band that it is not. Sure it's a big part of the band but it's far from as important as they make it out in this movie-- I saw 1 sousaphone during the entire trailer and that's the only non-drumline instrument showed. Indoor Drumlines are one thing, but there aren't Outdoor drumlines; they're part of the entire marching band yet are glorified in this movie.

I've been a part of 4 years worth of HS football games & competitions and never has there ever been a "drum off" or whatever that showdown was in the trailer. So not only does this movie lose focus on what the movie's about, but it's Hollywood-ed to hell when it does.</div>
