election and stock market

So I'm reading stock market went up today and the primary reason given was that this allows them to put the uncertainty of election behind them.
Well, last time I checked, Obama was given like a 99.X% chance to win this. So if being at most 1% more sure that McCain won't win gets you +300 points on Dow, does that mean if McCain won the election, we should see the Dow go down by 30000?
I realize the stock market only hears what it wants to hear, but I'm pretty certain the outcome of this election was never in doubt for the last month or so.
