BioShock PS3 and Valkyrie Chronicles PS3. Anyone else got these?

I got Bioshock off Steam for $5 the other day. I finally got it working. It kept crashing whenever I attempted to change the resolution. I don't update my video drivers (NVIDIA; I have an eVGA 8800 GTS KO) unless there is a problem. I tried updating to the latest drivers last Saturday when I got Left 4 Dead and my computer kept restarting. I ended up having to change one of the config files to get my native 1680x1050. I played it for maybe thirty minutes last night before switching to L4D. It seemed good so far. It kind of creeps me out though.

Bioshock is up there as one of the best games of this generation IMO. I got it first day and loved it. I just wish they'd expand the ending sequence and ending.

I'm up to Chapter 7. Of course now Alicia has a sprained ankle and can only hobble around. Land mines suck. I hate that map.

Yeah that one's annoying. Protips: Scouts rule, and remember to save every couple of turns once you're past chapter 10 or thereabouts. I think I outlined in the other topic (or maybe not) how I quit the game at chapter 16 because the battles can take soooo long and if you forget to save and end up dying, you'll want to kill yourself. I watched the ending on Youtube.
It's still a great game, but not the revolutionary underdog game of the year many PS3-only owners/Japanophiles claim it to be.

Finished up Valkyria Chronicles today. Not sure if I'll pick up the sequel on the PSP 1) because I don't own a PSP 2) I don't think it needed a sequel. Game play was somewhat tedious after awhile. The final boss is a joke if you know what you are doing and well...shit I started the game with such high hopes only to be let down completely towards the end. Battles lasted hours sometimes and shit is it frustrating when you lose. It took me 38 hours to beat the game and getting all of my squad to a few levels above elite status (13-15). While it is a very pretty game to watch and play I was very upset with the gameplay.
I agree with you Blotus. Game wasn't revolutionary but maybe I had envisioned something of that sort. I liked playing it and I thought the concept of a Strat/RPG/shooter would have been better. I had fun with it while it lasted.

Yes, I definitely pulled a Golden Axe "RISE FROM THE GRAVE" there.
