Pretty solid title that came out VERY late in the SNES' life so the majority of people missed it. Remake looks very pretty

I adored this game when it came out. I hope they maintain the charm. Specifically, I hope the music is updated, not completely changed; battles remain quick; enemies remain visible; and the dungeons maintain clever but not ridiculous puzzles.

Lufia 2 was an excellent game. It was a very late game that came out in the wake of many big releases. Luckily this community noticed it back in the day. I am sold on this one too.

I always envisioned the Lufia characters to look like character from Ys and that really didn't fit my mental picture of these guys.

One of my first RPGs. Good game, one of the better non-Square RPGs from that era.

I've been following this game ever since rumours were first bandied about. They're overhauling more than just the graphics, and the game now features action RPG type gameplay a la Kingdom Hearts. Looks promising.

I kinda dig the new For The Savour arrangement.
And yes, the original Lufia II was a very good game.

Lufia 2 was the prequel to Lufia 1 right? >.>

Yeah Lufia II fills out the backstory to Lufia I. The opening scene in Lufia I and the final dungeon/battle in Lufia II are one and the same.

I don't know if it's a nod to the fact in Lufia 1 you basically just bowl over the Sinistrels with your super powered heroes, but Lufia 2's final sequence of battles are absolutely trivial once you get the Duel Blade. The limit break on Duel Blade might as well be a 'IWIN' button.
