Yeah apparently Nintendo of America doesn't want Smash Bros on stream for Evo, despite the Smash community raising like $200,000 to get the game entered and to get some exposure in hopes of building that community up. Unbelievable.

What a smart company would do:
1) Pay for a dedicated stream of the game.
2) Have intermittent commercials for the new Smash Bros.
3) Have two character reveals during Evo weekend (Saturday and Sunday).
4) Fly Sakurai out for a panel to discuss the future of the game with fans (let him see how much fun people have playing competitively).
5) Use the opportunity to talk about what great people Nintendo fans are for helping breast cancer research funding.

What Nintendo did:
"No."

Micro$HAFT is not the only one pulling 180's these days.

These corporations are apparently not used to the New World Order where the public gets a say into how they operate. They've been so used to the "we can do whatever the fuck we want" mindset that they have trouble understanding that customers can just "not buy" their products.

It's amazing how people who love Apple products are complaining that they don't have freedom to use another company's product the way they want because said company wants to control the experience their product provides
