Yet another reason why Google is one of the coolest companies on Earth. 1 gig of free email storage? Believe it. And it turns out not to be an April Fool's prank, even though it was announced March 31st....Peace out Hotmail and Yahoo...</div>

Gmail does include relevant text ads that are similar to the ads appearing on the right side of Google search results pages. The matching of ads to content is a completely automated process performed by computers using the same technology that powers the Google AdSense program. This technology already places targeted ads on thousands of sites across the web by quickly analyzing the content of pages and determining which ads are most relevant to them. No humans read your email to target the ads, and no email content or other personally identifiable information is ever provided to advertisers.

Im hoping this isnt just wordplay. The side text ads they have on the search are fine with me, but if they start sending spam, that would be a different story. (spam=text ads?)

For a gig of storage space though, I think I could deal with a couple of spam emails.</div>
