If you are reading this, it's on the new server, with the upgraded phpBB. Despite a few hiccups, it was easier than I thought. I was not expecting 6-7 years of updates to only take a few hours. I guess this software is more or less in maintenance mode, so the velocity of changes isn't as pronounced.

This SiteSplat stuff still needs to be updated, but the web site is still up, so there's a path somewhere to fix those extensions. Worse case, I can move the main banner to another style and use that.

I re-enabled user registrations. We'll see if that's a good idea or not.

Updated SiteSplat. Completely waste of money. They can't even be bother to update their 2013 copyright. I just changed it myself. At least I have some sort of piece of mind that the component is on the latest version, but I don't like the extortion.

Going to give the old VPS another week, and then finally get rid of it.
