Obviously, there's not much terribly uplifting about this story. I don't think anyone involved is "fucked up" - just troubled. We all probably need to judge less and try to help more.
Really, it was my own negativity and jealousy speaking more than anything else. If any of the girls who were sleeping around back at my high school had done it with me, I'm sure my reactions (and entire personality) would be quite different today, for what that's worth.
I'm just oddly reassured because that kid just looks way too baby-faced to be able to generate the levels of testosterone needed to actually impregnate somebody. He looks far younger to me - almost like a child's doll, or something. I can't accurately judge age anymore. I thought some girl I met the other day was 14 - she was 21, and I know she was ACTUALLY 21, because I thought she was the trainee at the GameStop I was at and it turned out it was actually her store.
So, forgive me my hasty language.
The only reason why it is getting press is because the 13 year old looks like he could be a midget; and therefore looks like he's 5 or 6.

Personally, as a society, I think what with the ease of contraception and the large amount of media portrayals of sexual activity combined with easier access to information about it, we're going to start seeing more and more cases of very young teens fucking.
I don't know, I seem to remember an awful lot of sexually active young teens when I was that age.

Seriously, that's part of the problem. As soon as you even suspect that the kid is getting sexually active, you put them on the pill or something RIGHT AWAY. And of course, you have conversations about sticking with relationships, etc.
Too many kids are taught that sex is bad, just like they are taught that drugs are bad. And like drugs, once they find out that it's not bad, they go overboard, and since nobody taught them the REAL rules, they get burned. Sex is good and feels good, but starting at an early age isn't a good idea, and it's only good in moderation.
