I remember seeing an article on this before, but if you want to sound sophisticated about sports on TV, instead of saying, "It's hard to score in the NFL", it needs to be "It's hard to score in the National Football League". As far as I know, this seems to be the only sports where you see people do this. I do not recall hearing people talk about how competition is tough in the National Basketball Association, National Hockey League, or Major League Baseball. Does National Football League just have a better ring to it than others?
But probably don't say it around Pats and Eagles fans.

Serious though, it's hard to look at Aaron Hernandez and Ray Rice and Bill Belichick and not go "There's something wrong here". I think the problem is named Roger Goodell, though clearly it's not JUST him.
