<div style='font: 10pt ; text-align: left; '>It's not quite the same, but my grandmother had a devastating stroke about eight years ago that was completely unexpected. It wasn't a death, but she can't even really talk anymore. She's trapped in her own head and almost unable to communicate and, in a way, it's almost like at least a part of her died, because she won't ever be able again to share herself with us the way she used to.

In a way it's almost worse than being completely dead, because now she can't function or communicate at all, but technically she's still alive so you're still forced to deal with that reality. You have my condolences.</div>

She didn't know where she was or when it was. It was hard to watch. When she died, there was sadness, but she really hadn't been with us for a while.</div>
